Jubilee targets the implementation of integrated copper & cobalt recovery and refining operations in Zambia which targets the production of 25,000 tonnes per annum of copper.  Jubilee’s copper & cobalt refining operations includes the fully operational Sable Refinery and targets a brownfields expansion to establish further refinery capacity within the Kitwe area as part of its Northern Refinery capacity in Zambia under a collaboration agreement with Mopani Copper Mines. Jubilee’s Project Roan, which includes a newly constructed copper concentrator, was completed in July 2022. It is capable of processing copper concentrates at a rate of approximately 10 000 tonnes of contained copper per annum. In September 2022 Project Roan completed its ramp-up reaching nameplate capacity. In 2022 design work for our second copper processing facility in Zambia, Project Lechwe, was completed. This project targets a production level of 7 500 copper in concentrate per annum by the second quarter of calendar year 2023. Jubilee is also looking to complete the testing and commissioning of the cobalt circuit on the back of the completed ramp up of Project Roan, offering the potential of significant earnings contribution.

Jubilee, as part of its global reach, has formed a partnership with Caerus Mineral Resources to target the recovery of copper from the copper tailings materials situated in Cyprus.  The projects are currently being evaluated in Jubilee’s development facilities.
