Platinum Group Metals (PGMs)

Aggressive growth in our chrome processing underpins the PGM feed circuit supplying a secure and sustained PGM tailings rich feed supply.

What are PGMs used for?

Platinum Group Metals (platinum, palladium, rhodium, iridium, osmium, and gold) are used in a very diverse range of applications and are highly valued materials. There is significant demand for PGMs, principally the use of platinum, palladium and rhodium in autocatalysts which can convert over 90% of hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide and oxides of nitrogen from gasoline engines into less harmful carbon dioxide, nitrogen and water vapour.  Also used in any number of industrial ways as well as new uses in hydrogen fuel cells along with jewellery.

Our Projects

Inyoni PGM

South Africa

  • Owns unprocessed 1.7 million tonnes drilled and assayed chrome and PGM rich tails and a further c. 1 million tonnes of PGM rich material
  • Jubilee has secured long term feed supply agreements from a diversified client base in addition to the historical tailings material
  • Inyoni offers operational flexibility to adjust material feed rate and make-up to meet market demands

South Africa

  • A PGM exploration asset surrounded by two large PGM miners in South Africa.
  • It is a large undeveloped and defined block of platinum ore on the Eastern Limb of the Bushveld Complex
  • Independently appraised to contain a potential net 65 million ounces of Platinum Group Elements (PGEs) and gold
